The prize of the International Kulturbörse Freiburg is awarded for the year 2025 in the category Contemporary Circus. Carolin Hensle-Lippold, graduate cultural educator, NEUER ZIRKUS RUHR project office, jury member IKF performing arts division and Karola Mohr, head of the IKF, international cultural manager, booker.
The FREIBURGER LEITER 2025 award ceremony will take place during the IKF Night.

Diana Salles | DELUSIONAL – I killed a man
The winner for 2025 is Diana Salles with her production“DELUSIONAL - I killed a man”. The production will be presented at the evening event on Monday, January 20, 2025 at the IKF.
In addition to the prize sculpture “Freiburger Leiter”, the winner will receive prize money of €1,000 and invitations to the International Kulturbörse Freiburg and the Schweizer Künstlerbörse in Thun.
Reason for the choice: “With her first full-length solo debut DELUSIONAL. I KILLED A MAN, Brazilian artist Diana Salles brings a deeply moving and personal narrative to the stage that is still rarely addressed internationally in the circus. She combines multidisciplinary aerial acrobatics with dance, song and physical theater and impressively brings them together to create a multi-layered story about self-discovery, transformation and rebirth. The production captivates with its originality, depth and authenticity of the narrative as well as the highest artistic level of execution. Diana Salles is a courageous and outstanding artist who is a trendsetter in her genre.”
