Lennart Schilgen returns with his third program – and is conspicuous by his absence. When he’s not performing concerts or winning cabaret awards, he’s mostly doing one thing: disappearing. On bike tours, to a communist summer camp – or deep into the labyrinth of his thoughts. The result? Songs about the detours and byways of the world and the mind, full of wit and lightness, yet unafraid to explore darker corners.

Thankfully, Schilgen navigates every abyss with ease – armed with his skilled piano and guitar playing, his voice, and “a sharp mind, with heart, humor, and sneaky punchlines” (Tuttlinger Krähe Award). And then there are the poems: little linguistic treasure chests, profoundly silly yet brilliantly crafted. Attendance highly recommended – there will be roll call!
