Yarákä’s repertoire is steeped in ritual: each song recounts the exorcism of evil from the soul or the release of fears that block the flow of energy, finding healing through ancestral music. Their original compositions and re-arranged traditional songs take listeners on a musical journey that winds through Southern Italy, beginning in the ancient city of Taranto. Their live performances become a voyage that starts from one's homeland, using invocation, or a call and summons, leading to a universal exploration of the primordial.In 2023, they released the album Curannera and brought the rituals of Southern Italy on tour worldwide (Spain, Denmark, Indonesia, Czech Republic among others), appeared in Songlines, and reached #39 on the Top Albums of the World Music Charts Europe.
